KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo College welcomed its next president to campus with a reception last night.
Karlyn Crowley was appointed the college’s 19th president earlier this month and will succeed Jorge Gonzalez this summer after he retires.
Crowley says she is overcome, honored, and thrilled to be named the next leader of Kalamazoo College and says she’s known about the school most of her life due to spending her career dedicated to liberal arts colleges.
She says the approach to higher education at the school prompted her to apply.
Crowley is currently the provost at Ohio Wesleyan University.
