PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Temporary traffic signals are now activated for a lane closure along the west side of South Westnedge Avenue from Barberry Avenue to Crocket Avenue.
The city of Portage says it’s for the preparation and placement of a concrete trail connecting to South Westnedge Park.
The temporary traffic signals are scheduled to be active to allow both northbound and southbound traffic.
Barberry Avenue will be closed at South Westnedge Avenue for sidewalk installation on the east side of the roadway and is scheduled to reopen after the Labor Day holiday.
The project is scheduled to be completed in September, weather and materials permitting.
