COLDWATER, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – 38-year-old semi driver Robert Craig is charged with open murder, operating while intoxicated causing death and reckless driving causing death for a crash on I-69 in Coldwater.
The crash killed Branch County Road Commission worker Casey Rice, who was driving a mowing tractor along the edge of the highway when Craig’s truck hit him.
Rice died two days later at a hospital.
Craig is in the Oakland County Jail on unrelated charges and prosecutors are requesting $750,000 bail.
