YANKEE SPRINGS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The search for a 16-year-old boy who drowned in Gun Lake will continue today.
He went under water Wednesday night while swimming and never came back up.
Michigan State Police and others have been searching for the boy near Orangeville Island in the southern part of Gun Lake.
The search is only happening during daylight, as the lake bottom is described by authorities as a murky and grassy terrain.
