GUN PLAIN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 11, 2026) – Two persons were hospitalized after the motorcycle they were on collided with a downed tree southeast of Martin during Wednesday evening’s storms that swept through southwest Michigan.
No names or hometowns were immediately disclosed by Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Hunter Koster following the incident, which occurred around 7:15 PM near the intersection of Marsh Road and 112th Street. The motorcycle, piloted by a 33-year-old man, with a 28-year-old woman riding along, was northbound when it struck the downed tree. The man suffered “severe” injuries, while the woman’s ailments were not as serious, as they were taken to “area hospitals” for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
