KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The suspect wanted for a January murder in Kalamazoo has been arrested in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officials say 21-year-old Dakwon Johnson will be charged with open murder and felony firearms in the shooting death January 25th of 31-year-old Tyler Patrick.
KDPS says Johnson was arrested on May 28th.
Patrick was shot around 10 p.m. on January 25th on Reed Avenue near South Burdick Street and died after being taken to a hospital.
Police arrested a 43-year-old man on weapons charges after executing three search warrants after the shooting.
