KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Schools superintendent Dr. Darrin Slade says the district has updated its screening procedures after a Kalamazoo Central High School student brought a gun into school last week.
Slade says he has seen several videos and says the weapon detector did not go off when the student entered the building.
He says the system’s sensitivity is being increased and says students will be searched if the weapon detector goes off.
Charges are pending against the student.
