ALLEGAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Thirty-six-year-old Gustavo Gomez-Escobedo of Rio Grande City, Texas has been charged with three counts of reckless driving causing serious injury for a May crash on US-131 in Wayland Township.
He was driving a pickup and fell asleep, crashing into the back of an ambulance.
The ambulance rolled over and came to a rest on its roof in the ditch, injuring three people inside.
One was a patient who had to be airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
