Otsego Public Schools say Dix Street Elementary closed indefinitely

OTSEGO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Otsego Public Schools superintendent Christie Robinson says Dix Street Elementary is closed “until further notice.”

A fire was spotted by the school’s janitor around 5:40 p.m. Monday and the fire alarm was pulled.

Robinson says the school is shut down indefinitely, so insurance adjusters can view the damage and crews can clean up.

The district will send out an update every day at 4 p.m. and are working with other school districts to find a home for the Dix Street Elementary students.
