MILTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 40-year-old Sturgis man is hospitalized in South Bend after a deer crashed through the windshield of his pickup truck around 10 p.m. Friday.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to the two-vehicle crash on US-12 just east of the intersection with Anderson Road in Milton Township.
Dennis Baumann was westbound on US-12 when he hit a deer that had been hit by 17-year-old Lucas Frentz of Edwardsburg, and the deer went through his windshield.
Frentz was eastbound on US-12 when he hit the animal, but was not hurt.
