OLIVE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is continuing to push for the Consumers Energy J.H. Campbell coal-fired power plant in Ottawa County to close.
She held a rally outside the facility in Olive Township yesterday, nearly a year after the Trump administration issued the original executive order to keep the plant open.
Consumers Energy says it costs them $620,000 every day to operate the plant and had planned to shut it down last spring.
Nessel was joined by dozens of concerned residents in the area to issue the call for the facility to be shut down.
