KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement and Crime Reduction Team have arrested a 45-year-old man for alleged sales of illegal drugs.
Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Woodfield Avenue near Gaywood Street last Wednesday and took Jimmy Cruz Jr. into custody on an unrelated felony warrant before the search.
Cruz was released from federal prison last year after serving time for weapons and drug convictions and is on federal supervised release.
Officers found one-and-a-half ounces of crack cocaine, cash, a handgun, and evidence believed to be connected to drug sales.
Cruz is in the Kalamazoo County Jail on several charges.
