
The Allegan County Low Vision Support Group will hold meetings on the last Thursday of each month. The meetings will occur from 10 A.M. to Noon at The United Methodist Church, 409 Trowbridge in Allegan. Snacks will be provided and there is no cost for participation in the group. This service is an outreach activity of the “Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired” which provides vision and blindness rehabilitation services to residents in 13 West Michigan counties. Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan has opened a new Donation Center at 8139 N. 32nd St. in Richland. The Donation Center is not a retail outlet, but a unique location which will only accept donations. The biggest need is for donations of gently used dishes, pots and pans, toys, small appliances and electronics. Gently used clothing is always appreciated and all donations are tax deductible with receipts available. The new Donation Center is open Monday-Friday from 12:30 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. and on Saturday from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M.
